The bible verses that prove that witchcraft is a sin

Referring to the Bible, we find verses accompanied by strong evidence which strictly forbid Witchcraft in all its forms and consider it a deadly sin, for by using Witchcraft, we profane the name of God, and we seek the help of Satan to do the deeds that God forbids us in His Holiness. Book, which says:

When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. 10 Let no one is found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord; because of these same detestable practices, the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you. 13 You must be blameless before the Lord your God.

(Deuteronomy 9:18-12)

God also says:

Do not turn to mediums or spiritists; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.

(Leviticus 19:31)

There are also some verses from the New Testament as well, which forbid Witchcraft and threaten anyone who uses it with eternal torment.

We read in the Revelation of John:

But for the cowardly, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and sexually immoral persons, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

(Revelation 8:21)

And God also says:

Blessed are they that wash their robes, that they may have the right to come to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

(Revelation 1422-15)

The Apostle Paul warns us against witchcraft and says that whoever practices witchcraft will not enter the kingdom of God.

(Galatians 5:20)

So, what should you do?

Among the consequences of witchcraft, sorcery, and demonic actions, there is the so-called (coffee cup reading). Many people consider that coffee cup reading is for entertainment and to pass the time without realizing that coffee cup reading is opening a door for the devil to enter into our lives without knowing so that our experience and our dropping become easier for him. Because we lose God’s protection for us by relying on humans. What we have to do is:
  • First: To completely abstain from this bad habit (the habit of coffee cup reading and the like of fortune-telling) even if it is a matter of joking or fun, as this is an issue that does not involve clowning.
  • Second: Resort to the spiritual father quickly for a prayer on the head. There is a special prayer to protect us and rid us of such sessions that give us false temporary happiness and rob us of the life of eternal fellowship with God.
